I am an artist. That in itself speaks volumes more that you might think. As an artist, I suppose I’m really self-taught, but that just means I have no formal artistic education. During my years of being ‘self-taught’ I have learned tons from other artists, through workshops, informal art groups or simply be working in the gallery and yell out, “Hey, Paul, come tell me what you think!”
I love color; vibrant color, exciting color, subdued color, life in color. To me, art is allowing ideas and emotions inside to come out in a way that makes you, the viewer, want to stop and explore your way through the canvas.
Therein lies the uniqueness of abstract art: it is never the same images, thoughts or feelings to those who take the time to travel through it. I hope you enjoy the ride.
I am also a wife, mother, grandmother (Momo) friend, pain in the neck, object of frustration. My grandchildren have my heart…but that doesn’t mean I love any of the rest any less.
Winnie the Pooh once said “It’s a long story and even longer when I tell it.” That’s me.
